The second of our Greek Myths continues the story of the Trojan War (see the first part, Helen of Troy). Although it’s a story on an epic scale, the action comes down to some very personal grudges between great warriors. It also has its touching moments amid the exciting clashes of bronze
swords. The original was composed in around 800 BC. It was most probably an oral tale, and therefore made to be told out aloud.
